About Me

Hello, I’m Clark Evans (they/them, he/him), a composer and educator with a lifelong fascination of how connects and shapes us. At heart, I’m endlessly curious, quick to dive into new sounds, and driven by the challenge of making music that resonates—whether it’s through melody, mood, or texture.

With graduate degrees in both composition and cello performance and over 20 years of experience on stage and in the studio, orchestral thinking shapes everything I write. Even when I’m working in hybrid or electronic styles, I treat every track like part of a living, breathing ensemble. I’m fluent in all major digital audio workstations and an expert in written music notation.

Lately, my passion has turned toward music for media—especially for cinematic storytelling and for games, where scores can evolve and adapt to non-linear playstyle. I trained in Technology and Applied Composition at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, working with mentors like Lennie Moore (Outcast, Call of Duty, Halo), Sonia Moktari (Zynga), and Matt Levine (The Last of Us), who all praised my adaptability, clarity, and strong musical voice. In addition, during this certificate program I worked personally with producers and recording engineers for Sony/Playstation, Dolby Headquarters, and Skywalker Studios.
